Okay, this is another literature/graphic novel oriented thread. I just wanted to know who here has a list of favorite authors in any sort of literature out there. I've been thinking about the various elements in fiction or non-fiction, or poetry I love and how I can use them in my writing. I'll begin:

Kurt Vonnegut
Albert Camus
Jean-Paul Sartre
Neil Gaiman
F. Scott Fitzgerald
Ernest Hemingway
J.D. Salinger
Albert Camus
Soren Kierkegaard
David Lillie
Alan Moore
Harumi Murakami
Joan Didion
David Foster Wallace
Robert Frost
Edgar Allen Poe
Percy Shelly
Edward Blake
William Shakespeare

I also thought of this as a good way to exchange book ideas and see if any of these authors interest anyone else.

I'm not sure if I can come up with a list of "favorite authors," but I do definitely like Terry Pratchet and Issac Asimov.

(Dave and Liz are pretty obvious since I wouldn't be here otherwise.)

Neil Gaiman is a great author.

Orson Scott Card is a good author, but kinda a shitty person.

Dave is on the list.

I like Susan Collins... Even though i dislike the Hunger Games.

Michael Crichton is awesome.
