@Aman

We need to respect all forms of art whether or not we disagree with it. I think this just probably falls under the over-used idiom of Fanfiction: Don't like, Don't read.

This is giving me a migraine.

Okay. So, since I'm one who likes to avoid drama, and I don't want to ruffle any feathers as it appears might be risked...here's whats going to be what. Forget the numbers to age...suffice to say that the characters are of "legal" age for the setting they are based in, regardless of what may or may not be true in our real world. That way we don't have to worry about specifics. Still works either way. Does that work?

Its simple, if you don't like it, don't read it. That's what I do! We can't control everything we don't like, so its best to just avoid a specific niche if it makes you very uncomfortable. We all have our limits and boundaries, so stick to them and things will work out! :)

@Bowoodstock

This sounds a bit cryptic to me. Are you saying that these characters are of legal age in the story, but not by our standards? If that's the case, then don't expect many people to buy into it.

However, while it is always a smart move to avoid drama in the furry fandom, I personally wouldn't let social standards and the differing opinions of others stop me from writing a story how I want to write it. It's entirely your choice on how to proceed; just don't worry too much about backlash.

@Aman3712

Okay, I'm gonna have to ask you to refrain from commenting in these kind of threads if all you're going to do is complain. I'm willing to let people get their one complaint in, but when it exceeds that, it has to stop.

Alright. Thanks prometheus for the continued support and advice. I'll figure things out. One way or another this thing is going up.

"Don't like, Don't read."

Easier said than done when NSFW threads are open in plain sight, for anyone to look at out of curiosity. Believe me, I am fully capable of respecting art, but when its left poorly uncensored and out in the open, that's when there's a problem.

I'm not saying NSFW is bad. In fact, a lot of them are really well drawn and had a lot of effort put into them. I'm just saying that, in regards to the people who are fine with the NSFW material in the volumes and only want to talk about non-NSFW related subjects, they're kind of left in an uncomfortable situation.

@Promethious

If I feel uncomfortable about something on the forum, then I should have the right to voice my opinion. I will admit, my outranged post from before was very rude and a bit uncalled for; I shouldn't have even replied in the first place. But now you're telling me that I'm not allowed to even voice my opinion because it criticizes the porn this community seems to have become attached to. Yup, i'm totally feeling welcomed.

I understand that Dreamkeepers was intended for an older audience, and that a story like that is prone to NSFW art, but they way the forum deals with this material is really poor.

@Aman

The art is in fact very well censored and enclosed. This thread and all others have an obvious NSFW 18+ tag that should adequately warn users of the content.

Your issue with opinions being voiced is of course valid, but as you said it was rude. In the future just avoid threads with obvious NSFW content that you wish to avoid. If you do it "out of curiosity" the blame does not land on the creator as to who views it.

I feel like this is being blown out of proportion and I think it would be best to just avoid points of conflict like this thread. All people have the right to create what they want and there's not a lot we can do to hinder that.

We have a thread to discuss this already. Argueing this point in multiple threads does not help your case. Please keep this thread on topic.

@DanWithTheHat

Agreed. This needs to stop.

@Aman3712

If you're in these threads willingly, then you have no right to complain about the content or context involved. The rules for these threads clearly state this. Take your complaints to this thread here http://www.dreamkeeperscomic.com/forum/?t=629 or cease commenting in adult threads unless it's constructive to the topics.

While I dont personally agree with the sentiment that all forms of media need to be respected as art, I agree that willingly commenting in this place just for the sake of complaining is useless. Provide criticism if you want, I hope you do, but simply complaining is not going to do anything but make people angry or annoyed.

Still thinking about uploading that story? :D It'd be neat to see more people write.
