Adults do it though. Think about it - Teacher vs Children, Movie star VS "Nobody", Rich vs Poor, US vs THEM, Country vs Country...

These children are likely mimicking adults they trust not yet thinking about their actions.

Also, don't you dare try to push this off onto the youth. You aren't innocent.

oh...I did not realize that.
Also Kyma, I don't really remember much of high school. (and it's best that I don't remember)

Sounds possible by the way CH, since what adult influences there life could make a change for good or worse.

I went through that same experience in grade school with kids that would make fun of me because I would be the only one that was interested in learning math and science. Luckily I had an awesome teacher in 5th grade that supported me and put those kids in their place. While adults may not help the situation or even join in on the bullying in some cases, they are definitely part of the solution in stopping bullying. I'm not sure where Kyma said anything about pushing it on the youth but both of you make valid points. Bulling can happen between two people young or old. Its up to everyone to speak up against it.

Now back on topic of Lilith, She probably not only gets bullied by others because she is nerdy but also because she is the Viscount's daughter. I bet many of the other kids are also jealous of her situation. Because of her public visibility, she even had that magazine picking apart her fashion sense as well. She gets these negative messages from all sides. No wonder her sanctuary is being all alone in her room or at the library.

It's a subtle mindset people are in. May I direct your attention to the quote "I honestly don't understand why kids do it". Note he uses the term "Kids". He doesn't go into any reason why adults would do it (suggesting that kids were a subset he didn't understand) but he said that kids do it (as if they were the guilty party and there is something wrong with us for being this way).

Yeah, but you completely overlooked the magazine writers and editors. How did they react to Lilith? Or how about the people commenting on the sign after Lilith had to take something to leave the store?

It isn't just the children.

well I cant remember every detail of the story all at once now can I, I wasn't saying it was JUST the children, I was just making an observation on that current scene I could remember AT the moment. Forget the whole KID statement altogether im sorry I even said KID at all, I just don't always know what I'm talking about.

I think you are being overly critical of Kymastrider, Crazyhead. He has never said it was JUST about the kids. He brought up one valid point about the bullying of Lilith and he also agreed that bullying is caused by others as well once you brought it up. I really don't see the point of arguing this further. Please keep the discussion civil.

One of the ways you can tell that classmates are jealous of her is they compare every model in their magazine to Lilith, saying things like that one doesn't look like Lilith, and when they're in the bathroom getting all dolled up every other thing said was about Lilith.
All those adults and teens at the mall were saying those things because they were jealous of her because she looks better than they do and she doesn't wear makeup or the trendy clothes.
She dealt with that for along time but now anyone would probably do anything to date her.

That is a good point NatCon.Jealousy is probably a big part of the hate on Lilith. As the visible daughter of the viscount, she will be always in the spotlight. Especially if Calah is using her as a pawn in his campaign to gain votes. That leads to being constantly scrutinized. They can't beat her in smarts or fame so they will just attack her one weakness at the time: Her average looks.

They don't "need" to beat her in smarts because they rely too much on looks. She chose books they chose looks.

At least she won in the end in the beauty department. She is gorgeous in the GNS compared to her dorkier apperance in Prelude. I don't want to know what the fashion freak bullies look like now. XP

Probably still fashion freak bullies. And what is wrong with having a dorky appearance?
