"So I was wondering if people wanted to discuss their world views and stuff, although I have to say that I'm also a little unsure if it's a good idea, since, well... Politics and Religion are the two things one does not discuss on the internet and expect to escape unscathed ;3

I found an interesting test that will help people put it in a few somewhat short, but accurate sentences, but will probably wait adding the link, until we reach an accord on being sensible and friendly or not doing it at all."

This thread about is Ideologies from a test that is on here.
there are a few interesting results from it. Such as someone being skeptical, or someone's attitudes towards economics appear laissez-faire capitalist.

Umm... Okay, I'm going to take a risk and a leap and try to discuss my world view, let's see how well I do:
I tend to view books as sacred. They go on saying what people say long after they are dead, and even if the books are viewed as morally horrible, they can be analyzed to mean something much more than it was originally interpreted. On a less dramatic note, I have been reading for the majority of my life and greatly contributed to my elementary school's book fair (and by that I mean I donated an entire box of books and took somewhere between two and five.)

I also view the internet as sort of like the greatest thing ever invented. It allows me to discuss things as an anon that I have to keep good relations with in real life would probably hate me for. And I enjoy finding things out about other nations from the people who actually live there. It's nice not to rely on a select few people to spoon-feed me everything.

Unfortunately, the people IRL tend to drive me crazy. I tend to take note of more of what happens in history than those around me, so when I notice something a correlation between today and many years ago (I'm no good with names or dates, sorry), I often find myself needing to return to those lessons and try to explain them fully to my classmates. This is not fun, especially since most of those people were sitting in the same room as I was and read the book the same amount as I did.

Well there is also the link, which makes it more fun if you want to try.

It is called the Social Attitude Test and can be found here:

Also, interesting world view.

You may want to look at that last page again, Fox. I actually just took it. Although I wonder what the opposite ideology would look like...

Darn it, misclicked, so I'd have to take it again to make it work. :(

Your test scores indicate that you are a tough-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are distrustful towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a uncompromising radical egalitarian with few strong convictions.

DISTRUSTFUL TO RELIGION!? SAY WAAAT?

crazyhead422/8/15 6:29pm
Asora, it is perfectly okay to be distrustful of religion. I got something extremely similar. I don't particularly want to get into that here as that kind of discussion got shut down earlier, but I'd be happy to continue it on our "more private" thread.

Okay, I apologize for the off topic post, but Wildcard stared it. Consider this the last off topic post to this thread:

Progressivism 95
Socialism 56.25
Tenderness 62.5

Your test scores indicate that you are a tender-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are tolerant towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

-- seems about right. This was interesting to take.

Progressivism 70
Socialism 37.5
Tenderness 18.75

Your test scores indicate that you are a very tough-minded progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a liberated atheist. It appears that you are distrustful towards religion, and have an indifferent and uncompassionate attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear capitalist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible radical centrist with several strong convictions.

This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.
