The heavy is also interesting.
Same with the Off Spring.

Payday 2 has some really awesome music for the sound track :D

My favorite song from Payday 2 is definitely Backstab:

I also really like the soundtrack to Ori and the Blind forest. This guy did a Piano medley of a bunch of songs from the game:

I've been listening to the Nier soundtrack a lot. I use it sometimes when I GM.

I'm thinking about doing an accoustic cover of Bleeding Out by Imagine Dragons. I may post it here.

Bonobo makes great relaxing music I especially like "We could Forever," the track gives off a tropical island lounge vibe.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of The Offspring's album "Days go by", especially when I draw.

I tend to listen to different things while writing depending on the genre, settings, or characters...

Icon for Hire's album "Icon for Hire" has served me well recently for writing about teens with emotional issues lol Funny enough I didn't like the album at first when I compared it to their first album, but when I put myself in the shoes of my characters the songs grew on me amazingly well.

I've recently realized I've gotten into a lot of rock from last year when I was trying to find a good rock band with female lead vocals (which was really hard to do as most of them were growling or screaming which does not work for me) and came to the realization that I no longer know any of the more folksy types of music. Anyone got any suggestions there?

Joan Jett? I also like Paramore but that's not really rock.

Guess it depends on how you define rock, I suppose... But no, I actually found most of the female lead rock bands I needed... Honestly I have a need for more natural sounds and/or more synthetic noises. I'm looking for flutes and violins but electronic sounds that aren't dubstep are also in my current interests.
