*UPDATED - September 13, 2014*

There has been something that has been intriging me over the past few months. I have been very interested in the weapons, gadgets, vehicles, and tech that have appeared in the DK world, and so far in my perspective, I think barley, if not anybody is talking about this topic. It really surprises me.

So if nobodies going to make a thread about this, then I will.

Here is how it is going to go down.

1.) This thread will be for people who have ideas on weapons, gadgets, vehicles and other tech that exists or could exists in the Dream World.

2.) If anyone would like to post an idea, make sure that your idea has to have very detailed and specific characteristics that have to not only have features that could resemble the DK World, but they also have to work realistically too. What I mean by "work realistically", I mean that it has to be something that is not too bat-shit crazy, even for DK terms. And yes, I know there is a lot of stuff that is so awesome in the DK world, that it is not possible in real life for the next century or so. What I am trying to say is that if you have an idea that you want to post, make sure that it is not only cool and awesome, but it also has to work realistically.

Also, if you want to, you can actually put either the real information of your idea that it is based on (such as putting the real name of the actually thing, putting real specifications, real attachments and tech, etc.), or you can just make up the specifications and characteristics on the idea all by yourself. A couple of examples of what I am talking about are in this comment and in BryanDimmsdale's comment.

As long as it is possible or could be possible in the dream world, I am cool with that.

3.) If any of you would like to not only post an idea, but also would like to post a link to a picture or a video that somehow resembles that idea, I have a few things to say about that.

If you would like to post a pic or a video that resembles your idea, that is fine with me. But be warned, if anyone posts a link that leads to something that does not resemble that persons idea, I am going to try and contact one of the higher rank members of the forum and try and take that crap off. Seriously though, I know that there are lots of good people in the forums, but I don't want the same thing happen to this thread like the one that happened in the crossbreeds thread, and right now, Prometheus just posted a thread in the forums about that incident. If you know what I mean, thats good.

Anyways, here is an example of what I want to see when you put your idea load out, it could either be the complete details of that idea, or it could be just be your own details.

Mines is going to be a weapon specification load out that is based on the Walther SP22. There are in fact four versions of this pistol, (the M1, M2, M3, and M4), but I am going to add only the info for the SP22 M3, since this is the gun that is going to be mostly based on the DK version of it.

I am also going to add an attachment load out too, but since this this a thread that allows you to imagine DK relate tech into your ideas, I am going to be creative with this, a little too creative to be exact.

Wait, I'm confused. So is the idea of this thread to post new tech ideas that could exits in the dream world. or are we just posting the specs of guns, tanks, etc that we think are really cool. Because to my knowledge, Dreamkeepers have not invented any sort of gunpowder analog. Secondly, to have any sort of GPS system one would first have to deploy a satellite network and I don't see the cart using dreamkeepers designing spacecraft any time soon.

BryanDimmsdale8/23/14 10:45pm
Well, this will clear your confusion up a bit; this is the official DK website with their tech:

http://www.dreamkeeperscomic.com/DreamworldTechnology.htm

And the simply replace the gun-powdered bullet to spring-compressed bullet.

Holy crap Tango, I think you have just opened up a few things that even I didn't even thought of........FUUUUU-

Okay, I am terribly sorry if I confused you with the guidelines and set-ups on how this thread works. To answer your questions, lets start off with what the tech ideas should be. I said in the guidelines that the ideas that people want to post have to not only relate to the DK Universe, but also have to work realistically too. What I mean by this is that it has to be something that looks like it could exist in the DK world, but it also has to be something that is not too bat-shit crazy, even in DK terms. I also mentioned that it could either be a set-up about a tech idea that exist in real life (and it could be tweaked a little to match DK terms), or it could be the persons own imagination about his or her tech idea.

For example, the way I created my set-ups for the two weapons I created are actually based on real weapons. But I added and tweaked a few things and changed the names so that they could be more related to DK.

For BryanDimmsdale's case however, he found a interesting tech idea for a DK version of the US Army 1945 T28/T95 Super Heavy Tank/Destroyer, which he called it by himself "The Troika Behemoth". I don't want to jump to conclusions or anything, but I think that the idea of a tank built by the Troika that is based on the real thing was so awesome that it didn't need any extra modifications to meet DK terms, because it had already did it since the beginning. So it was good enough for Bryan to pick it.

For the gunpowder analog however, you have proven a point. But there's two things though however. If the dreamkeepers can develop teleportation devices that can send a few dozen of people at once and send them hundreds of miles across the city, without harming them, I don't see why they can't develop both gunpowder and spring-loaded bullets. But if the dreamkeepers haven't discovered gunpowder, if not gunpowder even exist in there world, then just imagine that the real bullets I posted for the weapons are just spring-loaded.

Finally, as for the GPS tech, same situation. But if GPS in the DK World is very different from ours, I think it would be set up like this:

Anduruna is stated to be about 440 miles across and is the largest city in the DK world right? So wouldn't people get constantly lost over a vast distance covered by buildings, roads, alleyways, shortcuts, and what not? If the dreamkeepers have a GPS system, I think the way it would work in the city is that there would be GPS stations with signal towers that would spread out across the city every 15 miles. If a person gets lost, he or she could check there data-scrolls to see where they are. To put that type of tech in a bullet, that's a whole other story. Not saying that it is impossible, but it just hard as hell to design a bullet that has to work with the gun, followed by making it to be non-lethal at certain areas, and creating it with a GPS tracer designed for it.

I hope this info answers not only your questions, but also others. See you in a bit bro, and thanks for asking! PEACE! :D

@Asora

Okay, I think I've got General idea of how this thread works. but me being me I have a few things to say. while true that their technology is advanced in some areas, one needs to remember that their development is fundamentally different then our own. Unlike us humans who, until recently, have devoted a lot of effort into the advancement of weapon and transportation technologies. The dreamkeepers have devoted much of their technological development into the fields of communication. I think the sprigers page on the DK site covers that difference rather well.

hmm, the thought of advanced bow based weapons has given me a few ideas. I most start sketching deigns immediately. I will return.

This was approved as it is, to be honest, not a "real" subject as "Reality" would imply and is more suited in the DK General section.

Types of Ammunition

*NOTE: Each type of ammunition shell is specially designed to contain a certain amount of projectiles for each weapon that uses ammunition shells. Also names have been changed to keep close to the DK Universe.*

12 Kato Buckshot - Default ammunition for all shotguns that contain multiple pellets that are mainly effective in close quarters. Buckshot shells for this weapon are specially designed to contain 8 pellets.

12 Kato Flechette - Special type of ammunition that uses small pointed steel projectiles that act like small darts, and are mainly effective at close to medium range. Flechette rounds for this weapon are specially designed to contain 8 darts.

12 Kato Slug - Slug shells contain a solid projectile designed for use with a shotgun. It was originally designed for hunting big game, and was observed to be more effective at range than buckshot. It has less range than a comparable rifle round, but deforms less when traveling through obstructions. It is mainly effective at close to medium range, but if used at longer ranges, the user has to drastically adjust his aim for bullet drop.

12 Kato Frag - A 12 Gauge Frag round is designed to burst on impact, littering the target area with shrapnel. Frag rounds are currently being considered for military use. The round is mainly effective at close to medium range, and the blast radius is from 1.5 m, to 3.0 m.

Also, if you haven't noticed it yet, but I actually didn't include the image and video links for the shotgun. It's just for some reason ,when I put in the links from google, it looks like it shows the entire comment section extended. I don't know why though, so if you're wondering why I didn't post the images and videos for my weapon idea, it because of the problem that I explained.

Just an update on this thread. I will be changing up some of the names of the attachments for the weapons so that they will be more connected to the DK Universe, but I will in fact still include the real names of those attachments and include the real info as well. I will also try and fix some of the grammar (like the paragraphs, sentences, etc.) so that people will try and read them better. I will try and do this by the end of this month, which is September.

Thank you for listening and have a nice day, PEACE! :D
