On the Wire.

This comic obviously doesn’t fit into the actual storyline anywhere, but we were having so much fun with the idea that we decided to go ahead and do it just for kicks… Spawning a whole new section of the Prelude archives which will be dubbed, of course, Very Stupid Preludes. The Muppet angle was unavoidable with Narp cavorting about so much - out of all the characters, he especially looks like he should be running around getting into trouble with Scooter or Gonzo. As for Wolverine, for any who may be scratching their heads over his inclusion, it’s a reaction to the news of late that Marvel is now pwned - I’m sorry, owned - by Disney. (At least now they make a nice pair against DC comics, owned by Time Warner.) Liz had the idea for an image of a grumpy wolverine with hair tousled into Mickey ears, and this seemed to be the best place to dump him that we could find. I also had the idea for changing his hand claws to be tipped with magic wand stars, but that seemed like it would complicate things to the point of unrecognizability. But really, at the end of the day, I just want to sit back and be entertained by an integrity-smiting crossover film of Muppets meet the X-men, with a dominatrix Hannah Montana running the whole show.

So, in a nutshell, we found a spot for our really bad ideas: right next to our other ones.
