Here are the very first Prelude strips! I remember initially, I drew these out and showed them to Liz. “They look great!” she said, “I can’t wait to see what they look like when they’re colored.” I replied, “Oh, I don’t think I’ll have time to color Prelude every week, what with Volume 2 being so involved – I was just planning on having it be black and white.” Liz didn’t want to settle for less than our best on the webcomic, and offered to pick up the slack on coloring. After seeing Prelude brought to life in full fun color, the choice was clear. Looking back, I can’t imagine what Prelude would be like if we really had just done it in black and white. Blegh!
